Goa Raja Waterfall is a hidden gem waterfall nestled in the lush tropical forest of Jehem Village, Tembuku District, Bangli Regency, Bali. It’s known for its tranquil, natural beauty and serene atmosphere, making it a great spot for nature lovers and those wanting to escape the crowds.

Location

  • Village: Jehem, Tembuku, Bangli, Bali, Indonesia.

  • Access: Around 30–60 minutes from Ubud by car or scooter, and roughly 1.5 hours from southern Bali areas like Kuta or Canggu.

What to Expect

  • Unique Waterfall Setting: The waterfall cascades over rugged cliffs into a natural pool, giving it a dramatic, photogenic look.

  • Cave Element: The name Goa Raja means “king’s cave” in Indonesian—there’s a cave near the falls that adds an air of mystery and intrigue.

  • Natural Pool: At the base, there’s a shallow natural pool where visitors can wade or cool off.

  • Lush Surroundings: The falls are embraced by dense greenery and tropical forest, creating a quiet, peaceful setting less crowded than many other Bali waterfalls.

Trail & Access

  • From the parking area or entrance, there’s a short walk (about 700 m / ~10–15 min) through nature paths and some steps to reach the waterfall.

  • The trek is moderately easy but can be slippery in rainy conditions, so good footwear is recommended.

  • Opening Hours: Typically open daily 08:00–18:00 WITA. Bali Express

  • Entrance Fee: Around IDR 25,000 per person (about €1.50 – 2). *subject to change

  • Facilities: Basic amenities like toilets and changing areas are usually available near the site. Some small food stalls and seating spots may be nearby.
